The Landsort depth, twenty-two kilometers southeast of Landsort island in the Stockholm Archipelago, is the deepest abyss of the Baltic Sea, reaching 459 meters at the deepest point. This is the inspiration for Landsort, the Sjöö Sandström diver’s watch. Landsort comes with a completely round shape emulating the perfect circular frame of the divers’ professional instruments.
Although strong enough for tough aquanauts, the Landsort possesses a stylish aura that makes it a must-have also for discerning mariners or sailors. Or for anyone who wants to experience the intriguing depths of an extraordinary timepiece.
All our timepieces are assembled by hand, one by one, at the Sjöö Sandström workshop in Stockholm. Since a watch consists of several hundred parts that must be tuned with exact precision, this is indeed a work for the perfectionists. Each Sjöö Sandström model is produced in small series and every timepiece is meticulously tested before release.
For optimal visibility and maneuverability in tough underwater conditions, the outer dimensions of the watch and the magnitude of the luminous figures on the dial have been designed according to the demands of naval divers.
